We do what electrification and other alternative fuels cannot.

Within the next 15 years, short haul flights of private, regional and single-aisle planes might be possible to electrify with batteries or hydrogen. But, wide-body planes, and the medium- and long-haul flights of all planes will still rely on the energy density of liquid fuels to make flying physically possible.

Limits of hydrogen fuels

To fly 2,000 miles with hydrogen, a 747 jet would need to allocate half its available space for gas and on-board mechanisms needed to turn it into power, completely changing the economics of air travel.

Hydrogen has almost three times the energy density of jet fuel, but requires four times as much space to provide the same amount of energy. The technical challenges of storing and transporting hydrogen are complex and expensive.

Our Sustainable Aviation fuel can drop into existing planes and fueling infrastructure to make carbon neutral air travel a reality today, saving trillions of dollars in potential fleet and infrastructure changes.

Limits of electrification

To electrify a 2,000 mile flight, a 747 jet would need to be completely full of batteries, with no room for people or cargo–it would also be 4.5 times too heavy to leave the ground.

Batteries light enough and energy-dense enough to power long haul flights do not exist. The technical challenges of inventing them are many and sourcing the materials to make them is both challenging and fraught with supply chain peril.

Our Sustainable Aviation Fuel is 60 times more energy dense than batteries, takes up 1/30th the space, and its production is conflict-free.

We want to hear from you.

Dimensional Energy is looking for value-aligned individuals and organizations eager to bring change to fossil carbon supply chains.

We're happy to discuss how our fuels and product precursors can fit into any industrial process, whether by providing sustainable feedstocks or capturing carbon dioxide from existing manufacturing facilities and transforming it into fuel.
